Article Processing Charges
Article Processing Charges (APC)
In accordance with Article (3) of the Regulation on Determining Article Processing Charges for Open Access Scientific Journals (Circular No. 162229, dated 1400/02/01 [link to directive]), the article processing fee payable by respective authors for each full-length manuscript is hereby determined for journals whose proprietorship is held by private non-governmental institutions or learned scientific associations.
Update Based on New Resolution
Pursuant to Circular No. 162229, effective as of 1404/10/01, the applicable fees have been revised and shall be applied as follows:

IRR 5,000,000 (equivalent to 500,000 Tomans) for peer review services.
Please note that payment of this amount does not imply acceptance of the manuscript, and in the event of rejection, this fee is non-refundable. -
IRR 30,000,000 (equivalent to 3,000,000 Tomans) for publication services, encompassing the following:

Assignment of a DOI
-
English language editing
-
Preparation or revision of an extended abstract
-
Final typesetting and layout

It is important to note that should the manuscript be rejected by the esteemed reviewers, the initial fee of IRR 5,000,000 will not be reimbursed. Nonetheless, the grounds for rejection, along with the reviewers' comments, will be communicated to the respective authors for their information.
No Hidden Charges
MSES does not charge any fees at any stage of the publication process. There are no submission fees, editorial processing fees, peer-review fees, publication fees, page charges, color figure charges, or any other hidden costs. Authors can publish their work free of charge regardless of their nationality, institutional affiliation, or funding status.
Waiver Policy
As MSES does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs), a waiver policy is not applicable. All authors are eligible to publish their manuscripts free of charge.
